Hunting Party

Terms

Last updated: 27 August 2026

These terms are the full version of the agreement the game shows you at first launch. Accepting that screen means accepting what is written here.

1. Who this is between

You and HUNTING PARTY STUDIO, based in France. Write to us at contact@playhuntingparty.com.

You need to be at least 13, which is what the Steam Subscriber Agreement requires anyway. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, a parent should decide for you.

2. What you get

A personal licence to install and play Hunting Party for as long as you own it on Steam. The licence is not transferable and you cannot resell it.

3. What you are free to do with your footage

Stream it, record it, upload it, put it on any platform, and make money from it. We will not claim your channel, your video or your revenue.

4. The online part

The game needs our online services to run a match. We keep them up as best we can, without promising they are always available. If we ever have to shut them down, we will say so ahead of time on the store page and on our social accounts.

5. How to behave

Play the game, not the people. Harassment, threats, hate speech, cheating, exploiting bugs against other players and pretending to be someone else can cost you access to online play, temporarily or for good.

We do not moderate voice chat in real time and we do not record it for moderation. If someone bothers you, mute them.

6. Voice chat

Hunting Party has proximity voice chat. Players near you hear you. You can mute anyone and you can turn your microphone off at any time.

While your microphone is on, the players around you hear you, and their game can record you in their own clips. Muting your microphone is what stops that, and it is the only thing that does.

7. Memories

7.1 What it is

The game records short video clips of stand-out moments while you play. A clip holds the game image and the game sound, which includes your microphone and the voices of the players around you. Your voice can appear in other players’ clips in the same way.

7.2 The files are yours

Clips are written to your computer and to your personal Steam Cloud space. They belong to you. We have no access to them.

7.3 You can switch it off

In the game: phone, Settings, ENABLE MEMORIES. Your game records nothing after that.

This setting only controls your own game. It does not stop other players from recording, and your voice stays in their clips as long as your microphone is on. Mute your microphone for that.

7.4 Sharing one with us

A clip only reaches us if you press Share. When you do, the game asks you separately what we may do with it. That permission is given clip by clip and the screen explains it before you send.

What we ask for is the right to use that clip to promote the game: on the game’s social accounts, in trailers and other videos, on the store page, and in material we give to the press. We do not sell it, we do not pass it to anyone else for their own use, and we credit you if you want us to. You can ask us to take it down at any time, and we will, though we cannot recall a trailer that is already out in the world.

8. What we own

The game, its name, its art, its music and its code are ours. Nothing in these terms gives you rights over them beyond playing the game and making your own footage of it.

9. Personal data

How we handle your data is written in our Privacy Policy. There is nothing about it in these terms, on purpose: a privacy policy is information we owe you, not a clause you sign.

10. Guarantees

As a consumer you keep the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects, in full. Nothing here reduces them.

11. Our responsibility

We are responsible for the damage our own fault causes. We are not responsible for what other players do, for your internet connection, or for Steam being unavailable.

12. Ending it

You can stop playing whenever you like. We can end your access to online play if you break section 5, and we will tell you why.

13. Which law, and which court

French law applies. If we disagree and cannot settle it between us, you can go to a consumer mediator for free before going to court, and you keep the right to go to the court where you live.

14. Changes

If these terms change in substance, the game shows you the agreement again at launch. Older versions stay available.
